Surface design and decoration is a big part of my practice and I would love to share some techniques in this workshop at my studio at The Chocolate Factory N16. 

This 2 hour workshop with a small and friendly group exploring pre-firing decorative techniques in clay. 

We will be working with predominantly coloured decorating slips to explore surface decoration techniques such as monoprinting, stencilling and sgraffito.

I always encourage play and experimentation in my classes but always offer a clear introduction and as much or as little guidance as you wish! I will provide some visual imagery for inspiration but please bring along anything you are inspired by.

You are welcome to simply play and experiment, create flat pieces such as tiles or coasters or build the piece into a 3D form. Your pieces will be fired and clear glazed for you to be collected within 3 weeks.
