The unique and delicate vessel is thrown on the wheel and painted with undulating iterations of the word ‘Chaos.’ The thrown form is then covered with repetitive, neat marks which are methodically added to the surface, creating an intriguing finish.

This piece is from a series of research where I have been exploring Chaos and Order, exploring the two in relationship to each other and noticing how my process of making bridges the two.

I have loved watching the way this piece draws people in when I have exhibited, approaching it with childlike curiosity to explore its finish and how it feels.

This piece explores the juxtaposition of classic form with unsettling texture and design to allow chaos and order to sit together.
